| 2025-26 Regular Season |
(Note: This will be updated when the season is finished.)
The Port Huron Prowlers are in their eleventh season of operation in the Federal Prospects Hockey League. One of the oldest teams in FPHL, they play their home games at McMorran Arena, one of the oldest rinks in the league. The Prowlers are the second-oldest franchise in Port Huron's long history of hockey. The only other franchise to last longer than them is the Flags/Wings of the IHL, which played nineteen seasons (1962-81)
The Prowlers are coming off an eventful 2024-25 season, both on and off the ice. Off the ice, longtime owner Barry Soskin sold the franchise to Ken Andrews, who also owns the dormant Motor City Rockers. Improvements to the game experience included multiple cameras, on-ice projectors and a new team store.
On the ice, the Prowlers won their first playoff series since 2018, defeating the Danbury Hat Tricks in three games (best of three) in the first round. The Prowlers fell to the eventual Commissioner's Cup champion Binghamton Black Bears in the semifinals in three games (best of three).
As of December 24, the Prowlers are in second place in the Empire Division, with a 13-11-0 record. Their 39 points are 22 behind first place Binghamton, but four ahead of third place Topeka. Heading into the Christmas break, the Prowlers are on a two-game win streak, after sweeping a weekend series against Blue Ridge. Attendance has remained stable, as the team averages about 1,324 fans per game, 12th in the league.
This program was released on December 23, 2025, and it's a big one at 144 pages. It's a first for my collection, as it's only available online (not in print). Honestly, this is one of the largest programs I have seen in a long time. I have a few Flint Generals programs from the mid-1990s that were over 100 pages, but I think this one is even larger than those. It's loaded with player statistics, front office bios and records from previous seasons. It's kind of a split between a game program and a media guide. I wish it was available in print, but I understand why it isn't--that's a bill that a team in the FPHL does not need to take on. The Prowlers have had programs early on in their existence, but not since (I think) 2018, and those were only a few pages long. This one is larger than anything I've bought in Flint and Saginaw over the years.
I'd like to see other FPHL teams do something like this. Just put a downloadable program together and offer it on your website. Whoever put this together did a fine job.
